Service Projects

service project 2

Many of our groups visit Ft. Myers Beach with a desire to serve our community; which we love. Whether you are    looking for opportunities on or off campus, we are happy to help coordinate something for you. Please contact our  Pastor, Shawn, at [email protected] to see how you can get involved.

On Campus

Campus CareWe are very fortunate to have a large and thriving campus in our community. As a result, there are always endless things on our “To Do List” to keep things us and running. We have several buildings on campus including: our main sanctuary, youth and children’s lodge, Choice Market, Retreat Center (RC) and Fellowship Hall, RC manager’s home, and parsonage. Groups have helped with all sorts of projects ranging from repairing roofs, replacing flooring, basic construction, painting, pressure washing, and more. We can always use extra help and are happy to coordinate around your groups schedule and goals for your visit.

Community Involvement– We are involved with numerous events in our community all throughout the year. Each March, our church participates in the Shrimp Festival Parade. This year, we had a float with live music, passed out 10,000 bottles of water and 4,000 Bibles. All of this takes lots of hands on deck! During December, we begin to prepare for our annual Santa’s Village and Workshop; where kids from our whole island come to meet Santa and his helpers, “shop” for gifts for their parents, decorate cookies, receive personalized gifts, and much more!

Off Campus

Midwest Food Bank– provides foods, products, and a variety of goods to many different organizations throughout the U.S. all at no cost. Midwest currently partners with our church, providing items that we are in turn able to donate and use to serve our community. The food bank is extremely large and is essentially run and supported by volunteers. For more information about their organization please visit their website.

Teen Challenge of Southwest Florida– a residential, faith based substance abuse program for both men and women. Teen Challenge provides a car wash on our church property weekly. The donations received help support their program. They also have a new thrift shop located in Ft. Myers. For more information on this program please check out their website.

Friends of Mantanzas Pass Preservesupport a number of activities that further the  preservation, protection and enhancement of the Preserve located on Ft. Myers Beach. For example, such  projects include removing exotic vegetation, planting suitable native trees and  plants, and repairing board walks and trails while participating in bi-weekly workdays. The Matanzas Pass Preserve is located on the seven-mile long barrier island of
Estero in the town of Fort Myers Beach, Florida. The 60 acre preserve runs along  Matanzas Pass and is one of the few undeveloped, protected areas on the island. Find out more..
